Development of electronics and mechatronics
Z.E.S. has more than 20 years of experience with development of electronics for our customers. The complexity of and electronic design can range from fairly simple to highly complex. Most projects contain the following phases described here below.
A design project starts with an inventory of the requirements that the customer has. Often this is not a simple task. In some cases, research may be needed to prove that a requirement is feasible. It is important to recognize this, since design work should not include too many research activities. In general, the costs of design work can be estimated and well-defined deliverables can be defined. The costs and outcome of research is much harder to predict.
Next, a global design can be made which defines how the requirements are implemented. Several specialists are often needed for the implementation: a PCB designer, a CAD designer, an EMC specialist, and software specialists.
Testing starts after building one or more prototypes. For this purpose, we have a well-equipped electronics lab. Testing of non-destructive techniques often involves working with large objects (pipes, steel components). Therefore we have a lab for testing large object, and also we can do field experiments.
