Technology that
evolves.

AI is changing how we develop and use technology. Z.E.S. helps you apply it in embedded software, electronics and measurement systems.

01 / EXPERTISE

From challenge
to solution.

From sensors and electronics to data processing and AI, we develop components that work together to meet your application’s requirements. We manage development in stages, from modelling and prototyping through to testing and product development, using AI to support the process where it adds value.

01

AI & data processing

Integrating AI into your systems. Neural networks for analysing sensor data and recognising images, tailored to the available hardware and software.

EDGE AI / NEURAL NETWORKS / COMPUTER VISION

02

Electronics

Electronics designed for your application. From signal processing and microcontrollers to actuator control.

MICROCONTROLLERS / FPGA / CONTROL

03

Embedded software

Software that brings hardware to life. From low-level firmware to control, communication and visualisation.

C & C++ / PYTHON / PLC

04

Sensors & measurement

Measuring physical processes. From acquiring sensor signals to processing and analysing measurement data.

DATA ACQUISITION / SIGNAL ANALYSIS

02 / AI IN PRACTICE

From measurement
to insight.

Whether you need to recognise patterns in signals, interpret images or detect anomalies, we explore how AI could help. We then work on integrating a suitable model with your sensors, electronics and software.

Edge AI

Running AI models where the data is collected: on an embedded system or industrial computer. We select and optimise the model and hardware to meet your response-time, memory and power constraints, so data can be processed on the device itself.

Sensor & signal analysis

Using neural networks alongside conventional signal processing to recognise patterns in sensor data and time series. Applications include detecting anomalies, classifying signals and estimating physical properties from measurements.

Computer vision

Turning camera images into useful information for tasks such as object recognition and visual inspection. We integrate image capture and AI model outputs with your system’s software and control functions.

From measurement data to a working system.

We start with what you need to measure, the data available and your system requirements. We compare AI-based approaches with conventional algorithms. Where AI is a good fit, we train a suitable model, evaluate it on data kept separate from training and optimise it for the target hardware. We assess its accuracy, speed and robustness under practical operating conditions.

03 / ABOUT Z.E.S.

30 years of Z.E.S.
Since 1996.

1996 — 2026

Zevenaar Elektronica & Sensoren B.V. celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026.

We were founded in 1996 to meet a need for innovative products in the petrochemical industry. Our work in this sector laid the foundation for our expertise in corrosion, inspection and materials science.

Based in Duiven, the Netherlands, we continue to build on that experience. Technology changes, but our commitment to engineering remains.

About this photograph

I took this photograph forty years ago in south-eastern Germany, using a 250 ms exposure. Steam locomotives were still hauling regular freight and passenger services at the time. They were withdrawn from those services not long afterwards, but you can still see them on heritage railways today.

I founded Z.E.S. thirty years ago. The development tools we used in those early days are now used less and less. With AI accelerating the pace of change, perhaps those tools will soon be museum pieces too.
